A konserveringsanläggning, or preservation facility, is a building or complex designed for the long-term storage of goods, often food or other perishable items. The primary function of such a facility is to maintain conditions that significantly slow down or halt spoilage processes, thereby extending the shelf life of the stored items. This is typically achieved through controlled environments involving temperature, humidity, and sometimes atmospheric composition.

The most common type of konserveringsanläggning utilizes refrigeration or freezing. Refrigerated facilities maintain temperatures above freezing, typically between 0 and 5 degrees Celsius, suitable for fresh produce, dairy, and meats that require short to medium-term storage.
