Examples include Spanish present indicative forms of hablar: hablo, hablas, habla, hablamos, habláis, hablan. English uses auxiliary verbs and limited inflection for most verbs: I am, you are, he is (present); I was, you were (past); I will be (future).

Different languages exhibit different typologies of conjugation. Some languages are analytic or isolating, relying less on verb inflection, while others are synthetic and feature rich verb morphology. Turkish, for example, is an agglutinative language that encodes tense, aspect, mood, person, and number through extended suffix sequences attached to the verb stem.

In linguistic study, konjugatlar are central to morphology and syntax, shaping verb agreement with subjects and other sentence elements. They also play a key role in language learning, parsing, and natural language processing.
