Kondensaateista, often referred to as condensate, is a substance that forms when a gas cools and changes into a liquid. This phenomenon is a fundamental part of the water cycle, where water vapor in the atmosphere condenses into liquid water droplets to form clouds. The same principle applies to various industrial processes and household appliances.

In heating systems, especially steam boilers, condensate is the water that results from steam losing heat and turning back into liquid. This condensate is often returned to the boiler to be reheated, improving energy efficiency. Similarly, in air conditioning systems, as warm, moist air passes over cold coils, water vapor condenses out of the air, forming liquid water that is then drained away. This process dehumidifies the air.
