Koagulaatiotekijäkonentraatteja, or coagulation factor concentrates, are pharmaceutical preparations derived from human plasma or produced recombinantly. They contain specific proteins, known as coagulation factors, that are essential for the blood clotting process. These concentrates are used to treat or prevent bleeding in individuals with various coagulation disorders, most notably hemophilia.

Hemophilia is a genetic disorder characterized by a deficiency or absence of specific clotting factors, typically factor VIII (hemophilia A) or factor IX (hemophilia B). Without sufficient levels of these factors, the blood does not clot properly, leading to prolonged bleeding after injuries, spontaneous bleeding into joints and muscles, and potentially life-threatening hemorrhages.

Coagulation factor concentrates work by replacing the missing or deficient clotting factor in the patient's bloodstream.
