Klooriit is a Canadian Arctic culture group that has historically inhabited the Kivitoo area of Baffin Island in the Qikiqtaaluk Region of present-day Nunavut. Their name originates from the Inuktitut word 'Kivitoo', meaning'many headlands'. This term describes the unique geology of their traditional lands.

Members of the Klooriit community traditionally subsisted on a diet rich in marine mammals, fish, and other coastal resources. Hunting and whaling played central roles in their subsistence lifestyle. Seasonal variations in food availability heavily influenced daily life in Kivitoo. In summer, seal and other mammal populations were plentiful, allowing for extensive preparations for winter lean times.

Klooriit people developed close ties with neighboring Inuit groups through ceremonial occasions and family relationships. These ties insured against isolation during harsh winter months when access to resources was limited. Variations in whaling techniques helped maintain social bonds between hunters. Differences in cetacean population behaviors kept local expertise diverse, thereby increasing workload for each whaler throughout the region.

Anthropological research indicates that traditional Kivitoo storytelling focused on marine heroes, possibly emblematic of symbolic maritime associations. Such stories helped solemnize feats of hunting prowess, educator new generations about crucial communal contributions, and underscored deeper clan histories.

Despite their history going back centuries, limited interaction with outside researchers has until recent years minimally recorded cultural specifics of the Klooriit community. Due to geographic and climate factors, extensive anthropological study is challenging, adding to the relative scarcity of documented knowledge surrounding this Inuit subgroup. The Kivitoo region and settlements are today considered part of the Qikiqtaaluk Region, which together with other neighboring communities forms modern-day Nunavut in northern Canada.
