Klickfusk is an informal term for a type of redundancy management system used in Swedish public administration. The system, introduced in the early 2000s, aims to reduce the redundancy and bureaucracy inherent in the Swedish administrative structure.

The term "klickfusk" refers to the practice of using digital platforms to create new positions and responsibilities, rather than actually changing the underlying work load or responsibilities. This can result in a proliferation of new roles, some of which may be temporary or redundant.

In 2004, a report by the Swedish Agency for Public Management and Economy and the Public Sector Transparency highlighted the problem of klickfusk. According to the report, the system had resulted in a significant increase in administrative costs, as well as confusion and overlap within different government departments.

Critics argue that klickfusk represents a form of "administrative cartwheels," where government employees focus on reorganizing and rebranding existing activities rather than addressing genuine inefficiencies. This has led to accusations of waste and mismanagement within the Swedish public sector.

Government officials and researchers have proposed several reforms aimed at addressing the klickfusk phenomenon. These include streamlining and standardizing government procedures, as well as implementing more robust systems for monitoring and evaluating administrative performance.
