Kerronnan is a constructed language belonging to the Kerron culture in the fictional Helix Gate universe. It was developed as part of world-building for novels, games, and related media and is described as a living language with its own grammar, lexicon, and writing system. In the canon, Kerronnan is spoken by the Kerron and appears in dialogues, songs, and chronicles, with fan resources supplementing the material.

Phonology and grammar: Kerronnan has a five-vowel system (a, e, i, o, u) and a moderate consonant inventory. Syllables are typically CV, with occasional CCV shapes in loanwords. The language is agglutinative, using affixes to mark tense, aspect, mood, voice, and case. The basic word order is subject–object–verb; adjectives and numerals precede nouns. Noun phrases carry case markers; agreement is mainly in number rather than gender.

Writing system: Kerronnan is normally written with a Latin-based alphabet augmented by diacritics to mark vowel quality and length. A traditional syllabary appears in older texts and fan grammars but is rarely used in modern works. Orthography strives for regular, phonemic spelling where possible.

Dialects and status: Distinct regional varieties include Northern Kerronnan, Southern Kerronnan, and Maritime Kerronnan, differing in phonetics and some vocabulary.
