Keraunios is a Greek term meaning “of thunder” or “thundery,” derived from the word for thunderbolt, κεραυνός (keraunos). In classical Greek texts, the adjective functioned to describe things related to lightning or storms and could modify deities, phenomena, or objects associated with thunder.

In ancient literature, keraunios imagery appears in myth and poetry as a descriptor for divine powers and celestial events connected to Zeus and other storm-associated figures.
