Kayglaryla is a fictional language described in world-building literature and role-playing game lore. It is spoken by the Kaylari people in the highland region of Eldara, a northern continent in the imagined world of Veridia. The language functions as a central pillar of cultural identity and traditional oral storytelling.

Etymology and classification: The name Kayglaryla combines elements from Kayla and Ryla, traditional root terms in the language. It is characterized as an agglutinative, subject–object–verb (SOV) language with extensive verb morphology and noun case marking. The language uses a ceremonial script called Kayl Script, and is often studied in transliteration using a Latin alphabet.

Phonology and writing: Kayglaryla has five vowel phonemes and about 20 consonants; vowel harmony affects suffix vowels. The script Kayl Script is a syllabary designed for CV syllables, supplemented by diacritics for grammatical endings. In contemporary texts, Latin transliteration is common for learners.

Grammar: Nouns inflect for case (nominative, accusative, genitive) and number, while verbs encode tense, aspect, mood, and evidentiality. Basic word order is SOV; modifiers precede nouns, and directionals attach as particles. Articles are absent, and definiteness is indicated by context or demonstratives.

Dialects and culture: The two principal dialects are Kaygli and Arlya, which differ in vowel quality and certain pronouns. Kayglaryla plays a prominent role in poetry, song, and ceremonial speech, and has a small but active revival effort among Eldaran scholars and language enthusiasts.
