Kardankablar is the Turkish term for Cardan shafts, a type of drive shaft that transmits torque between shafts that are not in a straight line. They commonly employ Cardan joints, also known as universal joints, which consist of two yokes connected by a cross-shaped element (the spider). The assembly can be housed in a tubular shaft and sealed to retain lubrication.
