Järjestyksenvalvonta, often translated as "order enforcement" or "security guarding" in English, refers to the activities undertaken by trained individuals to maintain public order, safety, and security. These individuals, known as järjestyksenvalvojat, are authorized to exercise specific powers to prevent and resolve disturbances. Their primary role is to ensure that events, public spaces, and private properties remain safe and orderly.
The authority for order enforcement in Finland is primarily granted under the Järjestyslain (Public Order Act).
Key powers granted to järjestyksenvalvojat include the ability to remove individuals from a premises, detain persons
