Jednolite is the neuter singular form of the Polish adjective jednolity, meaning uniform, homogeneous, or consistent. It describes nouns of neuter gender that have a uniform appearance or composition. In practice, the term appears in design, manufacturing, and visual media to denote surfaces, colors, or patterns with no variation.

In Polish grammar, adjectives agree with the noun in gender and number, so forms differ: for masculine, feminine, and plural forms there are corresponding endings (e.g., jednolity for masculine singular, jednolita for feminine singular, jednolite for neuter singular). The root “jednol-” comes from “jeden” (one) indicating unity or sameness.

The term is most commonly used in everyday language to describe monochrome backgrounds, uniform textures, or consistent materials, such as “to jest jednolite tło” (this is a uniform background). It also appears in technical or design guidelines to specify a preference for uniform finishes.
