itseaktualisaatioon
Itsensäaktualisaatio, often translated as self-actualization, is a core concept in humanistic psychology, most famously associated with Abraham Maslow. It refers to the desire of an individual to reach their full potential and become everything they are capable of becoming. This is seen as the highest level of Maslow's hierarchy of needs, a motivational theory that suggests people progress through a series of needs, starting with basic physiological requirements and moving up to safety, love/belonging, esteem, and finally, self-actualization.
Maslow described self-actualizing individuals as those who are fulfilled and are living up to their potential.
Achieving self-actualization is not necessarily about achieving fame or fortune, but rather about living a life
