Isomeeriä is a Finnish term that translates to "isomer" in English. Isomers are molecules that have the same chemical formula but different structural formulas. This means that the atoms within the molecule are arranged in a different order or orientation. Despite having the same number and type of atoms, this difference in arrangement leads to distinct physical and chemical properties.

There are several types of isomers. Structural isomers, also known as constitutional isomers, differ in the connectivity of their atoms.
