Intradermaalisia is a Finnish term used to describe phenomena, procedures, or reactions that take place within the dermis, the skin layer between the epidermis and the subcutaneous tissue. The root intradermaalinen denotes intradermal use or occurrence, and the plural form intradermaalisia is often used in clinical and academic contexts to refer to multiple instances of such phenomena.

In clinical practice, intradermal administration is employed for diagnostic skin tests, including certain allergy tests and the tuberculin skin test, as well as for specific vaccines and local therapies. The dermis houses a network of capillaries, connective tissue, and immune cells, such as dermal dendritic cells and mast cells, which support antigen presentation and localized immune responses. This anatomical composition explains why small volumes delivered intradermally can elicit pronounced local reactions.

Reactions and findings described as intradermaalisia include localized redness, swelling, and induration at the site of injection or testing. These responses are typically mild and self-limiting but can be mistaken for infection or hypersensitivity in some cases. While not a disease in itself, the term designates activity or responses confined to the dermal layer and is distinguished from subcutaneous or intramuscular routes.
