The term "internetle" is not a widely recognized or formalized term within the technology or scientific communities, but it is used informally as a way to refer to the tangible, physical aspects of the internet.

The internet as we know it today relies on this hidden infrastructure, comprised of thousands of miles of underwater cables, to transmit data across the globe. The cables are secured to the seafloor using concrete weights and steel pipes, allowing them to withstand the immense pressure of the deep ocean. Internetle infrastructure routes around the world, including major transoceanic cables that span continents, supporting international internet traffic.

The monitoring and maintenance of this infrastructure has become increasingly important as internet usage continues to surge. Studies have shown that submarine cables alone make up a significant portion of global internet traffic. Larger organizations and governments have invested in the construction of more extensive and resilient networks to upkeep, repair, and expand these underwater internet cables.

Communication between continents relies heavily on internetle infrastructure, as so much data interchange happens based on physical undersea cables in addition to entry/exit points to governing carrier networks, as divinitiation is equally left within monitored exposure.
