internethálózatok
Internethálózatok, often translated as internet networks or simply the internet, refers to the vast, interconnected global system of computer networks that use the Internet Protocol suite (TCP/IP) to link devices worldwide. It is a network of networks, encompassing private, public, academic, business, and government networks of local to global scope. The internet provides a wide range of information resources and services, such as the inter-linked hypertext documents and applications of the World Wide Web, electronic mail, telephony, and file sharing. Its infrastructure consists of a multitude of interconnected devices including servers, routers, switches, and end-user devices like computers and smartphones. Data travels across these networks in packets, which are routed independently and reassembled at their destination. The development of the internet originated from research commissioned by the United States government in the 1960s to build robust, fault-tolerant communication networks. Over time, it has evolved into an indispensable tool for communication, commerce, education, and entertainment, fundamentally reshaping how societies function and interact globally.
