Induktatiivset is a term that appears in some contexts related to logic and epistemology, often translated from or referring to inductive reasoning. Inductive reasoning is a method of logical argument in which a conclusion is reached based on the observation of specific instances. It moves from particular observations to broader generalizations. For example, if one observes that every swan seen so far is white, one might induce that all swans are white. This conclusion, however, is probabilistic and not guaranteed to be true, as future observations could contradict it.

The strength of an inductive argument lies in the quality and quantity of the evidence supporting it.
