When the immune system functions correctly, it effectively protects the body. However, imbalances can lead to various health issues. Autoimmune diseases occur when the immune system mistakenly attacks the body's own tissues. Immunodeficiency disorders weaken the immune system, making individuals more susceptible to infections.
