Gillette is a city located in Campbell County, Wyoming, United States. It is the principal city of the Gillette, Wyoming, micropolitan statistical area. According to the 2020 census, the population of Gillette was 33,403, making it the fourth most populous city in Wyoming. Gillette is situated in the northeastern part of the state, near the Montana border.

The area was named after Edward Gillette, a surveyor who worked on the Chicago, Burlington and Quincy Railroad. The railroad arrived in 1891, leading to the establishment of a townsite. Gillette was incorporated in 1914. Its economy has historically been driven by coal mining and energy production, particularly coalbed methane gas. The city is surrounded by vast deposits of coal, and its nickname is the "Energy Capital of the Nation."
