högstyrkebetong
Högstyrkebetong, often abbreviated as HSC or sometimes HPC (High Performance Concrete), refers to concrete that has achieved a significantly higher compressive strength compared to conventional concrete. While typical concrete might have a compressive strength of around 30-40 MPa (megapascals), HSC can routinely achieve strengths of 60 MPa and upwards, with specialized mixes exceeding 150 MPa. This enhanced strength is primarily achieved through careful selection and proportioning of constituent materials, including a low water-to-cementitious materials ratio, the use of supplementary cementitious materials like fly ash or silica fume, and often the inclusion of superplasticizers to maintain workability at low water content. Aggregates are also carefully chosen for their strength and shape.
The development of HSC has been driven by the demand for more durable and efficient structures. Its
