Hyrës refer to a group of mythological creatures originating from Albanian folklore, primarily found in the regions of Kosovo, Albania, and parts of Montenegro and North Macedonia. These beings are often described as supernatural entities with ambiguous moral characteristics, sometimes benevolent and other times malevolent, depending on the context of their encounters with humans.

In Albanian tradition, hyrës are typically depicted as humanoid figures with elongated limbs, pale skin, and sometimes glowing eyes. They are said to inhabit remote, untamed areas such as forests, mountains, and caves, where they move silently and unpredictably.
