Eta Kappa Nu (HKN) is the honor society of the IEEE for students and professionals in electrical engineering, computer engineering, and computer science. It was founded in 1904 at the University of Illinois to recognize academic excellence and professional promise in electrical engineering and related fields. The society operates collegiate chapters at many universities and maintains alumni chapters.
