These symbols are typically the digits 0 through 9 and the letters A through F, where A represents 10, B represents 11, C represents 12, D represents 13, E represents 14, and F represents 15.

The hexadecimal system is widely used in computer science and digital electronics. Its primary advantage is its ability to represent binary code more compactly. Since each hexadecimal digit can represent exactly four binary digits (bits), long strings of binary numbers can be expressed in a much shorter and more human-readable hexadecimal format.
