headin

Headin is a term that does not have a widely accepted, fixed meaning in English. In most references, headin appears as a misspelling or truncation of the word heading, which designates a title, subtitle, or section label in text, web pages, and document formatting. Because of its lack of standard definition, headin also appears in informal writing, notes, or digital transcripts where the final 'g' is dropped or where line breaks interrupt the word.
