Haruvõrk, also known as a branching network or tree network, is a type of computer network topology. In this arrangement, a central bus topology is augmented with several side branches. Essentially, it's a combination of a bus and a star topology.

The structure resembles a tree, with a main bus acting as the backbone and star-shaped clusters radiating from this backbone. Each cluster connects multiple devices to a central hub or switch, which then connects to the main bus. This design allows for easier expansion and fault isolation compared to a simple bus network. If one branch fails, it doesn't necessarily bring down the entire network.

Haruvõrk is often used in larger networks where a simple bus or star topology would be impractical. It can be found in corporate environments or educational institutions. The primary advantage is scalability, allowing network administrators to add new segments or devices without disrupting the existing infrastructure significantly. However, the complexity of wiring can be a drawback, and the length of the bus can still limit the overall network performance. Maintenance can also be more challenging due to the distributed nature of the branches.
