harjoittamistaan
Harjoittamistaan is a Finnish inflected form derived from the verb harjoittaa (to practice, to train) and the noun harjoittaminen (practice, training). It expresses possession or association, roughly translating to “one’s practice” or “the practice of someone/something.” The form is used to build noun phrases that denote what belongs to or characterizes a person, organization, or entity, for example in the phrase yrityksen harjoittamistaan toimintatapoja (the company’s practices/methods).
In usage, harjoittamistaan appears mainly in formal or written Finnish, including legal, administrative, or descriptive texts.
- Yrityksen harjoittamistaan toimintatapoja tarkasteltiin raportissa. (The company’s practices/methods were examined in the report.)
- Hänet esitettiin oikeudessa hänen harjoittamistaan menettelytavoista. (In court, details of his/her practices/methods were presented.)
- Hankkeen harjoittamistaan velvoitteista laadittiin loppuraportti. (A final report was prepared on the project’s related obligations.)
