Halálreceptorok, also known as death receptors, are a superfamily of transmembrane proteins belonging to the tumor necrosis factor receptor (TNFR) superfamily. They play a critical role in programmed cell death, or apoptosis. These receptors are typically activated by specific ligands, which are also often transmembrane proteins. Upon binding of their ligands, halálreceptorok initiate intracellular signaling cascades that ultimately lead to the dismantling of the cell.

These receptors are involved in a variety of physiological processes, including immune system regulation, tissue homeostasis, and development.
