Hajjat is an Arabic term that refers to the annual pilgrimage to Mecca, Saudi Arabia, which is one of the Five Pillars of Islam. It is a mandatory religious duty for Muslims that must be carried out at least once in their lifetime by those who are physically and financially able to do so. The Hajj is considered the largest annual gathering of people in the world, with millions of Muslims from around the globe converging on Mecca during the Islamic month of Dhu al-Hijjah.

The Hajj is a complex ritual that involves several key elements. It begins with the intention to perform Hajj (Niyyah), followed by purification rituals (Taharah) and dressing in simple white garments known as Ihram. Pilgrims then proceed to Mina, where they perform symbolic stoning of the devil (Ramy al-Jamarat) and offer prayers. The next day, they move to Arafat, where they spend the day in prayer and supplication. This is considered the most sacred day of the Hajj. After sunset, pilgrims move to Muzdalifah, where they collect pebbles for the stoning ritual. The following day, they return to Mina and perform the stoning of the devil again, followed by animal sacrifice (Qurbani) for those who can afford it. Finally, pilgrims shave their heads or trim their nails and perform the Tawaf al-Ifadah, a circumambulation of the Kaaba.
