Haihduttamoja, Finnish for evaporators, are industrial devices used to remove a solvent, typically water, from a solution through evaporation. The primary purpose of an evaporator is to concentrate a solution by increasing the solute concentration. They are commonly employed in various industries, including food and beverage processing, chemical manufacturing, pharmaceuticals, and wastewater treatment.

The fundamental principle behind an evaporator's operation is the application of heat to a liquid, causing the solvent to vaporize.
