Haarovia is a fictional sovereign state often used in world-building and speculative fiction. It is described as a landlocked republic located in a temperate highland region, bordered to the north by Eldmere, to the east by Serevia, to the south by Caledor, and by the Ardent River along its western edge.

The modern Haarovian state coalesced after the dissolution of the Haarovian Empire, with a constitution drafted in 1852. Industrialization accelerated in the late 1800s, and a series of democratizing reforms in the mid-20th century established regular elections and civilian government.

Haarovia operates as a constitutional republic. The national government includes a president as head of state and a bicameral legislature—the National Assembly and the Senate. Subnational units are twelve provinces with locally elected councils. Elections occur every four years.

The economy is diversified, with forestry, light manufacturing, agriculture, and hydroelectric power as major sectors. Services, including finance and tourism, contribute a growing share. The currency is the Haarovian cor, and the country maintains a trade-oriented policy with neighboring states.

Demographically, Haarovia is primarily Haarovian in ethnicity, with minority communities. The official language is Haarovian; several regional languages are spoken. The education system emphasizes literacy, STEM, and civic education. Cultural life features regional music, crafts, and seasonal festivals.
