Gårdsplassen is the central yard of a farmstead, the open area surrounded by the main buildings of a farm such as the main house (hovedhus), barn or stable (låve/stall), and various storage outbuildings. It serves as the working core of the farm, enabling the movement of livestock, handling of feed and tools, and day-to-day farm tasks.

The term is Norwegian, and the definite form is gårdsplassen. In some dialects and contexts, it may be referred to as gårdstun or inner yard, emphasizing its role as the sheltered, functional heart of the farm complex. Layouts and scale vary by region, era, and farm size.

Typical features of the gårdsplassen include a practical surface such as gravel or packed earth, a well or cistern for water, and dedicated spaces for activities like milking, feeding, threshing, carting, and tool storage.
