Groundacross is a cross‑disciplinary platform that aggregates, visualizes, and provides analytical tools for land‑use, soil composition, and environmental monitoring data across continental scales. Founded in 2015 by a consortium of geographers, agronomists, and software engineers, the project was originally launched under the name “TerraSync” in response to a growing need for interoperable geospatial datasets after the European Union’s Common Agricultural Policy reforms. In 2018 the platform was rebranded to Groundacross to better reflect its ambition to “connect data across every ground type”.
