Grensekspedisjoner, which translates to border expeditions in English, was a series of reconnaissance missions conducted by the Norwegian military in the mid-19th century. The expeditions took place between 1852 and 1857 and were led by Captain Carl Peter Terney and Lieutenant Colonel Wilhelm von Hanno.
