Granulumokkal is a fictional mineral described in speculative geology and world-building literature as a granular sedimentary rock. The term is formed from granulum, Latin for “little grain,” with a fictional classificatory suffix. In the imagined taxonomy, granulumokkal consists largely of submillimeter to millimeter grains of quartz and feldspar, bound by a cement of silica-rich clays and secondary quartz. The material is typically light to mid-gray, with a smooth to gritty feel and a Mohs hardness around 6, though variations exist in the fictional dataset.

Formation occurs by diagenetic cementation of fine silica and clay in shallow-water settings, such as deltaic or coastal muds, where repeated burial and fluid flow promote cement precipitation.
