Geodeetilisi is a term used in Estonian to denote topics, methods, and practices within geodesy, the science of measuring the Earth’s shape, gravity field, and rotation, and of determining precise geographic positions. It encompasses both theoretical aspects, such as the Earth’s geometric models and reference surfaces, and practical activities like surveying, mapping, and positioning.

Key concepts include the geoid, an equipotential surface that approximates mean sea level, the reference ellipsoid used to model the Earth's shape, and datums that tie coordinates to a terrestrial reference frame. Geodetic networks employ control points and tie measurements to maintain consistency across maps and datasets. Modern geodeetilisi relies on satellite-based techniques, notably GNSS, alongside traditional methods such as leveling, triangulation, trilateration, and gravimetric surveys. Data processing involves transforming observations into coordinates within a chosen reference frame, such as global WGS84 or regional systems like ETRS89.
