Genitalne is a term used in several Slavic languages to refer to the genital area or genitalia. In medical and anatomical contexts, genitalne structures include the external organs as well as the internal reproductive organs involved in urination, sexual function, and reproduction.

Male genitalne anatomy comprises the external penis and scrotum. Internally, the male reproductive system includes the testes, which produce sperm and testosterone, along with the epididymis, vas deferens, and accessory glands such as the prostate, seminal vesicles, and bulbourethral glands. The urethra runs through the penis and serves for the transport of urine and semen.

Female genitalne anatomy includes the external vulva, consisting of the labia majora and minora, the clitoris, and the openings of the vagina and the urethra. Internally, the female reproductive system comprises the ovaries, fallopian tubes, uterus, and cervix, with the vagina forming a canal that connects to the outside. These structures support sexual function, menstruation, and reproduction.

Development and health: Genital development occurs during puberty under hormonal control, bringing about physical and sexual maturation. Maintaining genital health involves good hygiene, safe sexual practices, routine medical care, and awareness of reproductive health issues. Common concerns include infections (such as balanitis, vaginitis, and sexually transmitted infections), skin conditions, and developmental disorders.

Education and care: Access to accurate, age-appropriate information about anatomy, contraception, consent, and disease prevention is important. Regular medical checkups and vaccination where available contribute to overall sexual and reproductive health.
