Genderintegrated is an approach to policy, programs, and organizational practice that explicitly incorporates the needs, experiences, and rights of people across the gender spectrum into planning, implementation, and evaluation. It aims to improve outcomes and advance gender equity by including diverse identities such as women, men, transgender, non-binary, and gender diverse groups.

It is distinct from gender-neutral approaches that remove gendered considerations, and from gender-responsive approaches that focus on specific activities. Gender-integrated work embeds gender analysis across all components from the outset rather than treating gender as an afterthought.

Applications occur in development aid, public policy, education, health, workplace design, urban planning, and data collection. Practical use includes collecting sex- and gender-disaggregated data, conducting gender impact assessments, and involving diverse gender groups in design and evaluation.

Key methods include participatory design, indicators and targets that track gender outcomes, and integrating gender considerations into budgeting, service delivery, and infrastructure projects.

Benefits include more relevant and effective interventions, higher participation, and reduced inequities. Challenges involve varying definitions of gender, measurement difficulties, cultural resistance, and the risk of tokenism if integration is superficial.
