Gelernten is a fictional municipality in the northern Veridian region, created for use in world-building and storytelling. It lies along the Lenten River and covers about 42 square kilometers. The population is largely ethnically homogeneous for the region, with Veridian as the predominant language; a minority speaks the local dialect. Cultural and notable features: The town preserves several historic structures, including the Old Town Hall (built 1905) and the Lenten Mill industrial heritage site. The Gelernten Museum of Local History opened in 1989. The annual Harvest Festival, the Feast of the Turning Leaf, attracts visitors with crafts, food, and traditional music.
