Färdigskivad is a Swedish adjective describing food products that have been sliced into individual portions before sale. The term combines färdig (ready) and skivad (sliced) and is used to indicate that slicing has been done by the producer rather than the consumer.

Common examples are färdigskivad skinka (pre-sliced ham), färdigskivad ost (pre-sliced cheese), and färdigskivat bröd (pre-sliced bread), as well as other deli items. The format applies to many products where uniform slices and convenient portions are desired.

Production and packaging: Slicing is performed on automated equipment in hygienic facilities. After slicing, portions are weighed or counted and packaged under protective atmosphere or sealed in plastic film, trays, or vacuum packs. Packaging often lists thickness, slice count, and storage instructions.

Storage and handling: These products require refrigeration. Unopened packages have a defined shelf life; once opened, the product should be consumed within a shorter period according to the label.
