Fosforipigmentit, also known as phosphorescent pigments, are a class of compounds that absorb energy and then re-emit it as visible light over a period of time. This phenomenon is called phosphorescence, which is a form of luminescence. Unlike fluorescence, where light emission stops almost immediately after the excitation source is removed, phosphorescence continues to glow in the dark for minutes, hours, or even days.
