Fogmist is a term that refers to a specific type of atmospheric phenomenon. It is essentially a combination of fog and mist, often described as a very light fog or a dense mist. The distinction between fog and mist is primarily based on visibility. Factors like temperature, humidity, wind, and the presence of condensation nuclei play a role in its development. Fogmist is often observed in coastal areas, valleys, and near bodies of water, especially during cooler periods or after rainfall. While it does not typically present the same level of hazard as dense fog, it can still affect visibility and caution is advised when driving or undertaking other activities that require clear sight.
