Fluorochroom labeling is the process of attaching fluorescent dyes, or fluorochromes, to biomolecules such as proteins, nucleic acids, lipids, or small molecules to enable detection by fluorescence-based techniques. The labeled compounds emit light at specific wavelengths when excited, allowing visualization, quantification, or sorting.
