Fjölþráðaleiðarar, also known as multi-threaded conductors, are electrical conductors composed of multiple smaller wires twisted together. This construction is in contrast to solid conductors, which consist of a single solid strand of metal. The use of multiple strands offers several advantages in electrical applications.

One of the primary benefits of fjölþráðaleiðarar is their flexibility. The individual strands can move past each other, allowing the conductor to bend and flex repeatedly without breaking.
