Firehymns is a Canadian indie rock band formed in 2007 in Toronto, Ontario. The group consists of vocalist and guitarist Alexisonfire (Alex Lifeson Jr.), bassist and vocalist Matt Naughton, drummer and vocalist Mike DiScala, and guitarist and vocalist Matt McCallum. The band’s name is a play on the legendary Canadian rock band Rush, with "Fire" referencing the band’s energetic live performances and "Hymns" reflecting their anthemic songwriting style.
