Lifeson
Alex Lifeson (born Alexander Zivojinovich; August 27, 1953) is a Canadian guitarist and a founding member of the rock band Rush. Formed in 1968 in Toronto, Rush became one of the most influential groups in progressive rock, known for complex compositions, technical playing, and melodic accessibility. Lifeson’s guitar work is noted for its lyrical melodies, dynamic phrasing, and inventive use of effects and tone.
Lifeson was born to Serbian immigrant parents and adopted the surname Lifeson early in his music career.
