In proposed descriptions, fibulaknoklen appears as a small, rounded or flattened process near the distal end of the fibula, sometimes with a shallow articular facet for the fibular malleolus or interosseous ligaments. Its presence is variably reported in cross-species analyses and is typically described in abstract models rather than confirmed by comprehensive imaging or dissection studies.
