The Slovak word *európskom* is a grammatical form of the adjective *európsky*, which means “European.” It is the prepositional or dative case, singular, masculine or neuter, and is employed after prepositions such as *v* (in), *na* (on), *s* (with), and *po* (after), to describe a relationship or location involving something European. For example: *v európskom styly* (in a European style), *s európskou úni* (with the European Union), and *po európskom svete* (after the European world). In colloquial speech the form is also used as a noun phrase, e.g. *tento projekt je v európskom* (this project is in the European context).
