This means that the refrigerant undergoes one compression and expansion process to achieve cooling. In a typical enkjøleenhet, a compressor raises the pressure and temperature of the refrigerant gas. This hot gas then passes through a condenser, where it releases heat to the surrounding environment and liquefies. The liquid refrigerant then flows through an expansion valve, where its pressure and temperature drop significantly.
