Energia raktárként refers to the concept of energy storage, particularly in the context of renewable energy integration and grid stability. It describes how various technologies can be utilized to store surplus energy generated at times of high production, such as during peak sunlight hours for solar power or windy periods for wind turbines. This stored energy can then be released when demand is high or when renewable generation is low, ensuring a consistent and reliable power supply.

The primary goal of energy storage as a "raktár" (warehouse or storage) is to bridge the gap between intermittent renewable energy sources and the fluctuating demands of the electricity grid. This helps to mitigate the variability inherent in renewables, preventing grid instability and reducing the need for fossil fuel-based peaker plants.

Common forms of energy storage include batteries, such as lithium-ion batteries, which are increasingly deployed at utility-scale and in residential applications.
